1. Billing Model & Merchant of Record
ModStudio AI provides developers with computational credits and subscription access to our generative AI mod architecture platform. Our payments are managed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), our Merchant of Record (MoR).
Paddle acts as the legal merchant for all credit package transactions, handles local sales taxes (VAT, GST, State Sales Tax), and ensures bank-grade PCI-DSS compliant checkout security. By completing a transaction on our site, you enter into a binding agreement with Paddle and ModStudio AI
2. Digital Content Waiver & Loss of Right of Withdrawal
️ Statutory Notice on Digital Services (EU Directive 2011/83/EU & Law No. 6502)
Under international consumer protection laws, including Article 16(m) of the European Union Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU) and Article 15 of the Turkish Regulation on Distance Contracts:
The statutory 14-day right of withdrawal / cooling-off period does NOT apply to the supply of digital content or immediate SaaS services once performance has begun with the consumer's prior express consent and acknowledgment that they thereby lose their right of withdrawal.
Because ModStudio AI allocates high-cost, real-time GPU and LLM computing resources immediately upon request:
- During checkout, you must explicitly check a mandatory acknowledgment box confirming that this is an instant digital SaaS service;
- You expressly agree and acknowledge that once your order is processed and you begin using ModStudio AI (including submitting AI chat prompts, token generation, or credit consumption), you forfeit and waive any right to cancel or demand a refund under statutory cooling-off regulations.
3. One-Click Subscription Cancellation
If you subscribe to an ongoing monthly or annual ModStudio AI plan, you retain complete control over your subscription at all times:
- No Lock-in: You may cancel recurring billing at any moment directly through your ModStudio account dashboard or via the Paddle customer management link included in your email receipt;
- Immediate Confirmation: Cancellation is instantaneous with a single click. There are no cancellation fees or retention penalties;
- Access Through Billing Period: Once cancelled, you retain full access to your subscription tier and remaining credits until the end of the current paid billing cycle. You will not be billed again.
4. Refund Eligibility & Discretionary Exceptions
While digital credits are non-refundable once used, ModStudio AI is committed to fair treatment. We evaluate discretionary refund requests in the following specific circumstances:
A. Completely Unused Credit Packages (Within 14 Days)
If you purchased a credit package by mistake and have consumed zero (0) tokens or credits, you may request a full refund within 14 calendar days of purchase by contacting [email protected].
B. Duplicate or Erraneous Charges
In the event of a verified technical error or network timeout resulting in a double charge for a single checkout transaction, our billing team will issue an immediate refund for the duplicated charge.
C. Extended Platform Outages
If a severe server-side outage prevents you from accessing our platform for more than seventy-two (72) continuous hours, active subscription holders may request prorated compensation.
Non-Refundable Circumstances
Refunds will NOT be issued in the following situations:
- Dissatisfaction with AI-generated mod creativity, balance, or subjective aesthetics;
- Inability to install mods due to third-party Minecraft or Java version incompatibilities on your personal computer;
- Account termination resulting from violations of our Acceptable Use Policy (e.g., attempting to generate cheat clients, crash exploits, or malware);
- Credits consumed partially or fully during active chat sessions.
5. Nature and Expiration of AI Credits
AI credits represent a prepaid computational license to invoke AI reasoning and asset synthesis tools within ModStudio AI:
- Credits carry no cash value, are non-transferable between accounts, and cannot be redeemed for fiat currency, cryptocurrencies, or physical goods;
- Credits remain valid and roll over indefinitely on active accounts;
- In the event an account remains entirely inactive for a period exceeding twenty-four (24) months, ModStudio AI reserves the right to retire dormant balances upon thirty (30) days notice.
6. Chargebacks & Friendly Fraud
If you believe a charge is unauthorized or incorrect, we strongly urge you to contact [email protected] before opening a dispute with your bank or card issuer. We resolve legitimate billing inquiries swiftly.
Initiating a fraudulent chargeback or disputing validly consumed digital services without prior contact constitutes a breach of contract. Such accounts are immediately suspended, and transaction logs (including IP history and token audit trails) will be submitted to the payment network to contest the dispute.
