1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to ModStudio AI ("ModStudio", "Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by ModStudio AI By accessing our website, downloading our desktop application, utilizing our API, or purchasing credit packages, you ("User" or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately cease all access to and use of ModStudio AI. If you are using our services on behalf of an entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Description of Services

ModStudio AI is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) and desktop toolchain designed to empower game developers, modders, and creators to design, architect, and generate mods, plugins, configuration blueprints, and game logic using natural language prompts and visual editors. We interface with community modding toolchains and third-party game frameworks including Forge, Fabric, NeoForge, and compatible engines.

3. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

We maintain a strict, zero-tolerance policy against malicious, exploitative, and harmful uses of our generative AI engine and developer tools. You agree that you will NOT under any circumstances use ModStudio AI to:

Strictly Prohibited Activities

  • Cheat Clients & Exploits: Develop, generate, compile, or distribute cheat software, aimbots, ESP tools, wallhacks, fly/speed hacks, item duplication exploits, or any tools designed to circumvent fair play rules on multiplayer game servers.
  • Server Crashes & Denial of Service: Create server-crashing scripts, packet flooders, malicious loop exploits, memory exhaustion tools, or griefing exploits intended to disrupt public or private gaming infrastructure.
  • Malware & Hostile Payloads: Embed spyware, keyloggers, obfuscated backdoors, remote access trojans (RATs), ransomware, or any unapproved data collection mechanisms into generated mod files or binaries.
  • Copyright & Asset Infringement: Ingest, prompt for, or attempt to reproduce copyrighted mod source code, decompiled closed-source game binaries, official proprietary game textures, or stolen intellectual property.
  • Circumvention & Reverse Engineering: Bypass credit billing, probe for security vulnerabilities, replay webhook events, or automate attacks against our Cloudflare Worker APIs or infrastructure.

Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy constitutes a material breach of contract and will result in the immediate and permanent termination of your account, forfeiture of all unused credits, and potential referral to relevant law enforcement agencies where applicable.

4. AI Code Generation Liability ("AS IS" Disclaimer)

ModStudio AI employs large language models (LLMs) and heuristic compilers to generate code, metadata, datapacks, and configuration files. You expressly understand and agree that:

ALL CODE, LOGIC, JAVA/KOTLIN CLASSES, BLUEPRINTS, AND ASSETS GENERATED BY OR THROUGH MODSTUDIO AI ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE.

Under no circumstances shall ModStudio AI, its founders, officers, or partners be liable for:

  • Game crashes, client freezes, or server instability caused by generated scripts or conflicting mod dependencies;
  • Corrupted world saves, lost player inventories, database write errors, or destroyed save files;
  • Account bans, server blacklists, or administrative sanctions imposed on gaming networks;
  • Performance degradation, memory leaks, or incompatible bytecode versions.

5. Mandatory Backup Duty

️ User Duty to Back Up Worlds & Projects

You acknowledge that experimental mod code can alter game state irreversibly. You are strictly required to create isolated, verified backups of all game worlds, server save directories, and project workspaces BEFORE loading, installing, or executing any AI-generated code or exported packages.

You agree that testing must always occur within a sandboxed singleplayer test world or dedicated staging server. Failure to maintain backups is at your sole risk.

6. Intellectual Property Rights & Generated Outputs

Ownership of Generated Code

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you retain full ownership and copyright of the custom code outputs, JSON definitions, and mod blueprints generated through your validly purchased ModStudio AI credits, provided your input prompts and reference assets do not infringe third-party intellectual property.

ModStudio AI claims no ownership or ongoing royalties over mods or datapacks you independently create and distribute using our tools, so long as they comply with applicable open-source licenses and game publisher EULAs.

All rights, title, and interest in and to the ModStudio AI software, backend engines, branding, user interfaces, proprietary templates, and machine learning pipeline remain the exclusive property of ModStudio AI

7. No Proprietary Asset Bundling

ModStudio AI is committed to respecting the intellectual property of original game creators. In strict accordance with commercial game EULAs:

  • Our generators produce clean, original source code, wrappers, and custom JSON data structures.
  • We NEVER bundle, distribute, decompile, or redistribute proprietary game binaries (including official Minecraft client/server JARs), official textures, original audio files, or copyrighted brand art.
  • Any texture templates offered in our visual editor are either original creations or licensed community sample references bearing explicit open-source mod permissions.

8. Credits, Subscriptions & Digital Content Waiver

ModStudio AI provides services via prepaid AI credits and recurring subscription tiers processed securely by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com.

By purchasing credits or subscriptions, you acknowledge that our services constitute immediate digital SaaS delivery. Complete details regarding payment terms, one-click cancellation, and your explicit waiver of the statutory 14-day withdrawal right once generation begins are set forth in our Subscription & Refund Policy.

9. Account Termination & Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, engage in automated abuse, attempt to crack our API limits, or violate applicable laws. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MODSTUDIO AI DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, BUG-FREE, OR COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY GAME VERSION OR HARDWARE CONFIGURATION.

11. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL MODSTUDIO AI BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF FIFTY US DOLLARS ($50.00) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO MODSTUDIO AI IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Governing Law & Contact Information

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable general laws without regard to conflict of law principles. Any inquiries or disputes arising under these Terms shall be submitted directly to [email protected] for resolution.
